Hand-painted Pan Production Background (19" x 10.5") from. The 8th episode of Season 2 of the New Batman Adventures (the 107th animated Batman episode overall). It is the opening scene of the episode, where we see Vreeland Manor (a recurring location in Batman), replete with Doric columns, a large circular driveway, and water fountain w/sculpture. The rows of 40s era cars are the type of imagery in Batman: the Animated Series that is Bruce Timm's and Paul Dini's nod to the era that spawned the Batman. This episode opens at the wedding of Veronica Vreeland (in her last appearance ever in the DC Universe).
Veronica was one of the many women Bruce Wayne dated over the years to assist him in creating his Playboy image. At the wedding, Bruce meets a beautiful woman Susan Maguire and instantly falls in love. Unfortunately it is not a real woman, but a plant creature created by Poison Ivy. The water fountain and sculpture are a hand-painted cutout attached to a cel overlay. The setup is in excellent condition.
